Juan Villazón is Foreign Legal Counsel in the New York office of Haug Partners, LLP.

Juan works with the Trademark Group on a variety of domestic and international trademark strategy, prosecution and enforcement matters. Juan is also a member of the Latin America Practice Group.

Juan works extensively on complex matters for U.S. and European clients with significant interests in Latin America. Juan also specializes in intellectual property issues that cross multiple jurisdictions.

Juan uses his background practicing with top firms and global companies in Mexico to assist clients with intellectual property strategy and enforcement matters in Latin America, a region with specific nuances and complexities. Most days, Juan can be found working with world famous brands and market leaders on advanced strategies regarding intellectual property in Latin America.

Juan graduated from Universidad Anahuac Mexico Norte, and recently obtained his Masters of Law (LLM) degree from Cardozo School of Law in New York, focusing his studies on intellectual property.

Prior to his studies in the United States, Juan worked for intellectual property firms in Mexico and as in-house legal counsel at multinational companies, such as Danone and Reckitt Benckiser.
