Juneteenth is the youngest federal holiday and commemorates Maj. Gen. Gordon Granger’s June 19, 1865 decree of the ending of slavery in Texas, two years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863.
It’s a celebration of African American freedom and achievement in the United States. Haug Partners promotes a respectful workplace and encourages diversity, equity, and inclusion.
