Last week, associate Aakruti Vakharia attended the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s annual convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. This year, she was named co-chair of NAPABA’s Litigation Committee. In this capacity, Aakruti co-led the Litigation Committee’s business meeting at the convention and represented the Litigation Committee at the first-timers’ reception. During the convention, Aakruti also participated in programming from the Women’s Leadership Network, and interacted with law firm and in-house attorneys between CLE Panels and during sponsored receptions.
NAPABA is the nation’s largest Asian Pacific American membership organization, and has over 6,000 members. NAPABA (i) fosters professional development, legal scholarship, advocacy, and community involvement, (ii) promotes justice, equity, and opportunity for Asian Pacific Americans, and (iii) serves as the national voice for the Asian Pacific American legal profession.
Aakruti has also been serving as Litigation Committee co-chair of the Asian American Bar Association of New York, NAPABA’s regional affiliate, since 2020.
