Associate
Brian E. Auricchio is an associate in the New York office of Haug Partners, where he focuses on antitrust litigation, government investigations, and counseling. Mr. Auricchio previously served as a staff attorney for the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition. At the FTC, he investigated anticompetitive and unfair conduct, closely collaborated with economists, and frequently engaged with federal and state antitrust enforcement agencies.
Prior to entering government service, Mr. Auricchio practiced at a national law firm, where he spent six years counseling large companies on antitrust compliance, representing clients in merger clearance proceedings, and defending companies against government enforcement actions. He has significant experience in defending class actions, most notably in a large antitrust multi-district litigation involving multiple classes of purported purchasers and State Attorneys General. His dual perspective from both sides of government enforcement informs his strategic approach to antitrust counseling and compliance.
