Haug Partners is proud to once again sponsor and support the New York Intellectual Property Law Educational Foundation (NYIPLEF) Annual Fundraising event, which took place on December 5, 2023.

Partner Wan Chieh (Jenny) Lee, who is on the board of the NYIPLEF, and Sheila Mortazavi, Chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee, attended the organization’s annual fundraising event and engaged in discussions with both in-house and law firm attendees regarding inclusivity within the IP profession.

NYIPLEF is a charitable organization that promotes intellectual property law education to law students in the New York area.  The NYIPLEF grants annual legal scholarships to support students dedicated to enhancing diversity in their law school class.

NYIPLEF offers two annual scholarships that we are proud to support again this year, one is the Hon. Giles S. Rich Diversity Scholarship and the second is an Annual NYIPLEF Diversity Scholarship.  Both scholarships provide monetary support to the recipients’ expenses and give recipients the opportunity to meet members of the Federal Judiciary, USPTO Officials and prominent patent law practitioners at an awards event and throughout the year.
