Haug Partners is pleased to announce the acquisition of the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL) Buffalo Beauts by Pegula Sports and Entertainment, owners of professional sports teams in the NFL, NHL, AHL and NLL.

Haug Partners represented the NWHL in connection with the sale of the rights to the team and the transfer of intellectual property rights.

Associates Camille Turner and Kyle Koemm represented the NWHL in the deal. Partner Ben Natter represented the league with respect to licensing and the transfer of intellectual property.

Camille Turner commented on Haug Partners’ role: “It is an honor to be able to further the progress of women in sports. The sale of a women’s professional sports team to an established ownership group is a significant milestone and we are proud and humbled to have been able to contribute.”

Ben Natter commented, “The acquisition is significant for the growth and progression of women sports. It is a ‘keynote’ event.”
