Haug Partners LLP’s Presence at the 2024 Federal Circuit Bar Association Bench & Bar® Conference

On behalf of Haug Partners LLP, Managing Partner Sandra Kuzmich, Ph.D. and Associate Chinmay Bagwe participated in the 2024 Federal Circuit Bar Association (FCBA) Bench & Bar® Conference held at Isle of Palms, South Carolina from June 19 through June 22.  Chinmay took part in the Mock Argument program, which consisted of a mini-appellate argument involving various aspects of patent law.  Chinmay argued on issues related to claim construction and obviousness before federal judges and expert practitioners, and received valuable, practical guidance as to making an appellate argument.  Sandy acted as a panelist that led a discussion around Continuation Applications, Patent Term, and Post-Grant Proceedings, with a focus on the USPTO’s proposed rule concerning terminal disclaimers.  Sandy has been elected as Treasurer of the Executive Committee of the FCBA Board of Directors, with a term beginning July 1, 2024.  Haug Partners is proud to continue its sponsorship of the FCBA in furtherance of the FCBA’s mission and vision.
