Laura Chubb is an intellectual property partner in the firm’s New York office whose practice focuses on patent litigation, related complex commercial disputes, and strategic patent counseling for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the life sciences industry. Laura has experience across a wide range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and biotechnology. Laura litigates across the country, and provides multi-jurisdictional and global strategy and advice from case inception through resolution. Laura also counsels clients on patent strategy, including pre-litigation activities, freedom-to-operate analysis, portfolio management, and due diligence. Laura has a degree in molecular biology and is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Laura also has experience in global trademark procurement and protection, including oppositions and district court actions.
Laura is active in the legal community. She was designated by the firm as a 2022 Fellow in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, and was nominated by the firm to participate in the 2017-18 Federal Circuit Bar Association’s Global Fellows Program. She co-chairs the Trade Secret Committee of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association.
In law school, Laura graduated cum laude and was the Executive Production Editor of the Indiana International and Comparative Law Review.
